About Association of Taxation Technicians Singapore (ATTS)

Introduction

The Association of Taxation Technicians Singapore (ATTS) was incorporated under the auspices of the ICPAS in March 1995 for the taxation support staff. It is the only association here to offer a locally recognized and affordable qualification, in the demand to provide skilled taxation staff to assist management in corporate duties.

To carve a niche for yourself in the world of Accountancy, specialize in Taxation by studying for the ATTS Diploma in Taxation, Certificate in Advanced Taxation or Certificate in Basic Taxation. This course gives you a strong foothold in your professional career in Taxation.

Upon completion of the ATTS qualification and accumulation of relevant work experience, candidates are eligible for the Association for Taxation Technician (ATT) status.

Course Intakes

Course Structure

Part-time classroom-based lectures
Courses are conducted by Singapore Accountancy Academy (SAA) once a week, over a period of 4 months for each intake
Course fees range from S$300 to S$400 per paper

Examination Structure

There is no time limit to completing the qualification
Examination / Exemption fees are S$50 per paper
For Diploma in Taxation:
- Students are required to pass Paper 4 (Basic Taxation) before Paper 5 (Advanced Taxation)
- Students have the flexibility of attempting Papers 1, 2 & 3 in any order
- All passes in any examination session will be retained. Students need only to re-sit for papers failed
Examinations are held twice a year, normally in the 3rd week and 4th week of June and December.

Graduation and Recognition

Students who successfully complete the taxation programmes will be awarded the diploma / certificate by ATTS. Graduates will be invited to attend the ATTS Tea Reception which held yearly to receive their diploma / certificate. Graduates are encouraged to attend the Tea Reception with their families and employers whenever possible.

Graduates of Diploma in Taxation are eligible to apply for the full membership of the ATTS and enjoy the following benefits:

Use of designatory letters "ATT" for ordinary members and "STT" for senior members
Free Bi-monthly journal "Singapore Accountant" from ICPAS
Preferential member's to ICPAS Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programmes and ATTS forums
