Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Introduction

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore(ICPAS) is the partner of the ACCA/ICPAS Joint Professional Examination Scheme (JES). As the national professional body for the accounting profession, ICPAS ensures that accountants in Singapore conduct themselves in a professional manner according to the regulations spelt out by the regulatory body, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

This is where the joint scheme comes into play where ICPAS works closely with ACCA to ensure the syllabus meets both ACRA and ICPAS’s membership requirements. That enables JES graduates to be “Certified Public Accountants Singapore”. The JES has been successfully run by ICPAS and ACCA since 1983 and thousands of JES students have graduated and gone on to rewarding careers.

The ACCA qualification is a highly relevant, targeted combination of study and practical experience. The syllabus is the result of extensive research and consultation with governments, students, colleges and employers from a range of public and private sector organisations.

ACCA is recognised and respected across the world, and currently have 140,000 members and 404,000 students in over 170 countries.
